Long time no blog

There are serious questions that need to be asked re blogs
1. Why bother?
2. Why is my opinion important?
3. Who in their right mind reads this crap?

The answer is not as bad as I may have thought.

I read an old friends blog today and he provoked me to think about the things that are important. Things I'd die for...

You know...

Family

Convictions

This follows on from meeting another friend who has just returned from Rwanda that is important. She showed photos and shared the stories of the women, men and children she met there. I cried, Mags cried and so we should. It was horrific. Yet in the midst of even this Karen, the friend who was there, saw the forgiveness and mercy of God. More than any God channel it brought her closer to who God was and the miraculous.

As I become older I know that I understand less and that lack of understanding is a blessing. It forces me to cling to the simple. To the nature of God, to the relationship of trinity both within and outwith, the grace of God, the depth of Christ's words. To quote John Smith I know the need to avoid "graduating from the teaching of Christ to the theology of Paul" the words of Jesus not only comfort but challenge and make me think!

Long my that continue.
